Pasadena, California – Sophia Space is pleased to welcome Cyrill Glockner, a seasoned technology executive and product strategist, as the company’s new Vice President of Partnerships & Product Strategy. With more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning Microsoft, Intel, Verizon, and Bonsai AI, Glockner brings deep expertise in AI, cloud computing, and enterprise technology to Sophia’s mission of building the first space-native compute infrastructure.

Glockner has spent his career at the intersection of innovation and commercialization, leading high-impact teams that scale transformative technologies across startups and global enterprises. 

“My passion has always been about building the future, whether that’s commercializing AI, scaling cloud platforms, or forging ecosystems that accelerate innovation,” said Glockner. “Sophia Space represents the next frontier. And I’m thrilled to join a team rethinking how and where  we compute.”

At Microsoft, he played a pivotal role in applied AI and machine learning, leading initiatives that turned research breakthroughs into scalable, revenue-generating products. Glockner spearheaded go-to-market (GTM) strategy, ecosystem development, and AI commercialization efforts in close collaboration with industry leaders like Siemens, Dassault, The MathWorks, Accenture, PwC, and a global network of ISVs and system integrators. His work bridged deep tech with enterprise scale, delivering tangible impact through strategic partnerships and platform growth.

At Sophia Space, Glockner will lead global partnership strategy and ecosystem development as the company accelerates deployment of its modular TILES architecture; a space-optimized compute platform leveraging abundant solar power and the cooling efficiency operating on orbit.
